Kukd.com are proud sponsors of this year’s Wales StartUp Awards, a very worthy award for any new Welsh business.
The awards celebrate entrepreneurial individuals and their new ventures, recognising that new businesses really are the lifeblood of the Welsh economy, creating the majority of the employment opportunities in the country.
Although a national company, Kukd.com was founded in Wales in 2015, by entrepreneur Mr Shelim Hussain, who has also been awarded an MBE for his services to business in Wales. Therefore we feel it vitally important to support and celebrate all local businesses, not just the partnered restaurants and takeaways that we work alongside.
The Start-Up Awards have 14 different categories, covering many sectors that form the welsh economy.
The Award Categories are:
- Construction Start-Up of the Year
- Creative and Digital Start-Up of the Year
- Financial and Professional Services Start-Up of the Year
- Food and Drink Start-Up of the Year
- Global Start-Up of the Year
- Green Start-Up of the Year
- Life Science Start-up of the Year
- Manufacturing and Engineering Start-up of the Year
- Retail Start-Up of the Year
- Services Start-Up of the Year
- Social Enterprise Start-Up of the Year
- Technology Start-Up of the Year
- Tourism and Leisure Start-Up of the Year
- Young Entrepreneur of the Year
In addition to the above award categories, all entrants will also be entered for four regional awards:
- Cardiff Capital Region Business Start-Up of the Year
- North Wales Business Start-Up of the Year
- Rural Start-Up of the Year
- Swansea Bay Vity Region Business Start-Up of the Year

The Ceremony
The ceremony it’s self looks to be a fun filled and relaxed evening, rejoicing in celebration of successful of Welsh start-ups, entrepreneurs, business champions and thought leaders. The awards will be held at the DEPOT, Cardiff on Friday 16th September 2016. The DEPOT itself, is a prime example of a new, successful Welsh business. After opening its doors in 2015, it has become a popular venue for creative events in Wales.
